About Green Apple Learners, LLC
Green Apple was founded in November of 2011. The concept was inspired by the need for affordable, entertaining and family focused activites in the Longmont area. Finding family activites was challenging enough, but options with educational value & minimal "screen time" was next to impossible. Green Apple firmly believes that there are opportunites to learn and thrive everywhere, not just in the traditional classroom setting. By combining this belief and the desire to provide educational, entertainment options in our community, Green Apple Learners was born.
Green Apple Learners is a family-owned, small business operated right here in Longmont, CO. We utilize the REMIX Student Center, 333 1st Avenue, for the majority of our events. Come visit us and join the fun!
About The Owner:
I have always loved working with kids and I always knew my life's work would involve kids, education and creativity, somehow. This led me to begin studying elementary education at Metropolitan State College of Denver. During that time, I began working at a Recreation Center "Summer Day Camp" and eventually made my way up to being the Director of School Aged Children's Programs for the City of Ft. Lupton. While working for the City of Ft. Lupton I also taught in their Preschool Program and helped implement their After School Program. I've definitely worked with a variety of age groups! Currently, I work with an alternative style, private school here in Longmont. I tutor & work with the Middle School Group.
I am married and a proud mama of two little girls.
